The Designer.
One of the most influential figures in Australian design, Kathy Demos, has been responsible for steering the course of design in Australia, and internationally, by her skilled direction of major programmes, events and consultancies for the past few decades. Kathy is also highly regarded for her interior design practice, and this project is no exception. Balancing form and function, Kathy proposed a larger than usual entry door to create a welcoming entry statement to this exceptional home. American Oak was the material choice, complimenting the buildings natural material palette of masonry and timber.
The Maker.
A fabulous design is but one part of the equation. Realising a project with such a high level of detail and finish requires a team of experts who understand the nuances of design, and can embrace the technical challenges to facilitate and deliver the designers creative vision.
Enter Darren Minto, Specification Manager at Circa. Darren worked closely with Kathy, and Site Supervisor Russell Croxford of D5 Building Group, from concept through to installation.“The building industry is fast paced and we are quick to move on to the next project, so every now and then I think it’s important to pause and reflect on the talented people we work with and the great projects we deliver” commented Darren.
