Project Profile – Ten Minutes by Tractor

Located in scenic Main Ridge, Ten Minutes by Tractor offers a relaxed and intimate cellar door experience, and in depth tastings of their signature Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé wines. Ten Minutes by Tractor wines have been described as elegant and complex, with beautiful balance and length. They are a true expression of the unique qualities and character of their vineyards.

The cellar door is only one part of the Ten Minutes by Tractor experience. Wineries paired with fine dining restaurants are plentiful on the Mornington Peninsula – locals and visitors to the region are spoiled for choice. Ten Minutes by Tractor offers a curated dining menu that is matched with wine from cool-climate regions across Australia and around the world, focusing on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Designed by award winning Cox Architecture, geometric built forms juxtapose the undulating surrounds of the vineyards. The restaurant and cellar door respond to the landscape and terroir, with reflective and lustrous surfaces that highlight seasonal changes. The use of natural travertine, brass, coloured glass, and native timber provide a warm and wonderful counterpoint to the linear design language.

Selected for its natural warm tones, and inherent stability and durability, Australian Blackbutt timbers supplied by the Bowens team is a key architectural feature of the exterior and interior spaces. Utilised extensively for internal wall and ceiling linings, external wall cladding, outdoor steps and arbor and breezeway, Blackbutt connects the architecture to the surrounding landscape and communicates a sense of place.

Make no mistake, Ten Minutes by Tractor is a heavy hitter. A winner of multiple Australian Design Awards including Best Restaurant; Eat Drink Design Awards, the Editors Award: IDEA Awards, and Australia’s Wine List of The Year, we’re proud to have worked with the builder Lloyd Group, and joiners Fisher and House Constructions to create one of Mornington’s hottest food and wine destinations.

Put it on your list.
